On September 28, the Second Committee of the Chinese Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association (CNFIA) and its Disciplinary Inspection Commission held their first plenary session. The meeting marked a significant step in the association’s governance structure as it elected key leadership positions. Kang Yi was re-elected as the Party Secretary of the State-owned Color Metal Industry Association, while Gao Dezhu, Zhao Jiasheng, and Jiang Weixiang were appointed as Deputy Secretaries. Additionally, Jiang Weixiang was elected as the Secretary of the Disciplinary Inspection Committee, with Duan Yan serving as Deputy Secretary. The newly elected members of the Second Committee included Kang Yi, Gao Dezhu, Zhao Jiasheng, Jiang Weixiang, Fan Shunke, Yang Bing, and Wang Jian. Third, he outlined the critical role the party committee must play in leading by example. This includes being a model of learning, practicing the scientific concept of development, fostering teamwork, embracing reform and innovation, and maintaining integrity and discipline. Kang Yi urged the committee to lead with transparency, adaptability, and a commitment to ethical standards.
