August 24th is a day that carries deep meaning for Ukraine. It's both the country’s Independence Day and marks six months since Russia launched its unprovoked invasion. For Delfast, a company rooted in Ukrainian soil, this date is more than just a milestone—it’s a reminder of the strength, resilience, and love that define our people.

Over the past 182 days, our team has faced unimaginable challenges: evacuations from dangerous areas, living in shelters, becoming refugees, and enduring the emotional toll of separation from loved ones. Yet, despite everything, we have not stopped. We've adapted, innovated, and found new ways to support our community and continue our mission.

For us, it’s a deep sense of duty and love for our homeland. More than 30 of our employees are still in Ukraine, each with their own reasons to stay, fight, and believe in a better future. Today, we share their stories—reasons why they love Ukraine and why we all should too.

    Ukrainians Are Great People

“When I started building the Delfast business model in Ukraine over seven years ago, it was an instant connection. We always found the right people, not just skilled but truly committed. They feel like family. Even now, in these tough times, we keep supporting each other.”

    - Serhii Denysenko, COO

After sending his family to safety, Serhii returned to Kyiv and has been working there since March 3, 2022. He delivers essential supplies to Hostomel, where the town was under occupation. He also helps an elderly neighbor by providing groceries and emotional support. Serhii believes that solidarity and psychological aid are just as important as material help during crises.

    Ukraine Makes Great Products

“We’re proud to have built the iconic Delfast e-bike in Ukraine, but our innovation goes far beyond that. From AI and education tech to fashion and smart home solutions, Ukraine has so much to offer. Check out SpendWithUkraine.com — you’ll be amazed at how many global products have Ukrainian roots.”

    - Serhii Dovhopoly, CTO

As an IT specialist, Serhii joined the Ukrainian ‘IT Army’ to build web platforms that support Ukraine globally. He helps protect critical services and even organizes DDoS attacks on Russian government sites to counter propaganda. His work shows how technology can be a powerful tool for resistance.

    We Have Breathtaking Nature

“Before the war, I used to travel to recharge. Ukraine’s beauty is unmatched — from the rolling hills near Kyiv to the Carpathian Mountains and the Black Sea. Even though some areas are occupied, we will reclaim them. Our land is worth fighting for.”

    - Olena Matsueva, Head of Customer Care

Olena’s younger brother is part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. To support him and his unit, she sends supplies like clothes, equipment, and even homemade treats. She believes small gestures make a big difference in keeping morale high among defenders.

Our Cities Are Modern & Authentic

“Kyiv is a city of contrasts — charming quiet streets in the heart of the city, and high-tech districts just a few blocks away. Russia may try to take our cities, but we won’t let that happen.”

    - Viktoria Bardyk, Head of Logistics

Viktoria coordinates humanitarian aid from Europe to Ukraine. Though she had to leave her home initially, she couldn’t stay away for long. Kyiv is home, and she’s doing everything she can to bring help to those in need.

    We Are Cooperative Citizens

“When danger threatens, Ukrainians act. Whether you're in LA or a small village, we come together. Our team didn’t stop after the invasion — we kept working, volunteering, and developing new ideas. That’s the spirit of Ukraine.”

    - Daniel Tonkopi, CEO

Daniel is actively involved in supporting Ukraine from Los Angeles. He works with local leaders, activists, and government officials to raise awareness and push for change. As a founding member of ULAW, he meets with U.S. lawmakers to explain the real impact of the war on everyday Ukrainians.

Ukrainians Have an Eagerness to Help

“I’ve experienced war before — in Georgia in 2008. But here, I found my family and my home. Ukraine is worth fighting for.”

    - Fedir, Delfast Sales Manager

Fedir has been helping evacuate people from dangerous areas and supplying Ukrainian defenders with technical equipment. He now focuses on helping civilians, especially the sick and vulnerable. For him, helping others is a way to say thanks to those who once helped him.

    Providing Connectivity to the World

“Goodness comes from within, and we must spread it. Delfast brings people together across borders. That’s our strength.”

    - Joseph Konrad, Customer Support Team Lead

Joseph has been delivering medical supplies, power banks, and communication tools to Ukrainian defenders. He also connects with international investors to provide humanitarian support. He believes in unity and the power of collective action.

    Delfast Is Making an Impact

Our team’s passion and dedication are incredible. Since the invasion began, Delfast has contributed in several ways:

    • Donating bikes to defenders and volunteers
    • Participating in rallies in California
    • Supporting initiatives like ULAW
    • Three team members are serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces
    • Sharing personal experiences with U.S. lawmakers
    • Donating 5% of sales to humanitarian efforts

None of this would be possible without your support. Thank you for being with Delfast.
