**System Overview:**
The ACS series system is ideal for processing HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP, BOPP, CPP, OPP, PA, PC, PS, PU, EPS, and other similar materials. It consists of a belt conveyor, cutting compactor, single screw extruder, pelletizing device, water cooling unit, dewatering section, conveying blower, and production silo.
The system offers an output range from 160kg/h to 1200kg/h, with options for feeding devices including belt conveyors (standard) or roll hauling off devices (optional). The compactor volume ranges from 300 to 1400 liters, and the screw diameter varies between 80mm and 180mm. The screw material is typically 38CrMoAlA nitride steel (SACM-645), with bimetallic options available.
The barrel heating system uses ceramic or casting aluminum heaters, while air cooling via fan blowers is used for barrel cooling. The system features a double vented degassing system, making it particularly effective for heavy printed films and materials with moisture content.
**Working Steps:**
1. **Feeding:** Plastic scraps are conveyed into the compactor via a belt conveyor. For roll scrap, a roll hauling off device is optional. Motor drives work with ABB inverters for automatic speed control based on compactor load. A metal detector can be added to stop the system if metal is detected.
2. **Crushing and Compacting:** The rotating blades in the compactor cut the material and generate heat through friction, causing the material to shrink slightly below its agglomeration point. This process helps in compacting and preparing the material for the extruder.
3. **Plasticization and Degassing:** A specialized single screw extruder gently melts the pre-compact material. The system includes a double-zone vacuum degassing system to remove volatile substances like low molecular compounds and moisture.
4. **Melt Filtration:** A screen changer is installed at the extruder head to ensure high filtration performance. The type of filter used depends on the quality of the input material and the intended use of the granules.
5. **Pelletizing:** The standard method is die-face water ring pelletizing, which ensures high-quality granules and long uptime. The system automatically adjusts blade pressure and RPM based on extrusion pressure.
