    1, sintering sintering

    A powder or compact heat treatment at a temperature below the melting point of the main component, object by metallurgically bonding between the particles to increase its strength.

    2 , packing packingmaterial

    A material in which a compact is embedded during the pre-firing or sintering process for separation and protection.

    3 , pre-burning presintering

    The heat treatment of the green compact is carried out at a temperature lower than the final sintering temperature.

    4 , pressure sintering pressure

    A sintering process that applies uniaxial pressure while sintering.

    5 , loose- sintered loose-powdersintering, gravitysintering

    The powder is directly sintered without pressing.

    6 , liquid phase sintering liquid-phasesintering

    The powder or compact having at least two components is sintered in a state in which a liquid phase is formed.

    7 , overburning oversintering

    Sintering where the sintering temperature is too high and/or the sintering time is too long to deteriorate the final properties of the product.

    8 , underburning undersintering

    Sintering where the sintering temperature is too low and/or the sintering time is too short to cause the product to fail to achieve the desired properties.

    9 , infiltration infiltration

    A process for filling pores in an unsintered or sintered article in a molten state with a metal or alloy having a melting point lower than the melting point of the article.

    10 , dewaxing dewaxing , burn-off

    The organic additive (binder or lubricant) in the compact is discharged by heating.

    A mesh belt, which is generally protected by a muffle, implements a continuous furnace for the continuous conveyance of the furnace.

    A sintering furnace in which a part placed in a sintering disk is conveyed in a furnace by a walking beam system.

    A sintering furnace in which parts are placed in a burning boat and the parts are conveyed in a furnace through a propulsion system.

    A neck-like bond is formed between the particles during sintering.

    Due to the violent discharge of the gas, bubbling is formed on the surface of the sintered part.

    The phenomenon of liquid phase oozing out during the heat treatment of the green compact.

    When sintered, a surface layer formed on the sintered part has properties different from the inside of the product.

    The ratio of the density of the porous body to the density of the same component material in the non-porous state is expressed as a percentage.

    The burst strength of the sintered cylindrical specimen measured by applying radial pressure.

    20, porosity Porosity

    The ratio of the volume of all pores in the porous body to the total volume.

    21 , diffusion pore diffusionporosity

    A component material due to the Kirkendall effect diffuses into the pores formed in another component.

    22 , pore size distribution poreizedistribution

    The percentage of the pore size of each stage present in the material as a function of quantity or volume.

    23 , apparent hardness apparenthardness

    The hardness of the sintered material measured under specified conditions, which includes the effect of the pores.

    24 , solid hardness solidhardness

    The hardness of a phase or particle or a region of the sintered material measured under specified conditions, which excludes the effect of the pores.

    25 , foaming pressure bubble-pointpressure

    The minimum pressure required to force the first bubble by the gas through the liquid impregnated article.

    26 , fluid permeability fluidpermeability

    The amount of liquid or gas passing through the porous body per unit time measured under specified conditions.
