Kangshibo Gyro Compass has passed IMO type certification

    Kongsberg Maritime has received a type approval (WheelMark certification) from the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for its MGC R3 MGC R3 gyrocompass (purchasing supply). The Gyro Compass is ideally suited for the scope of the Kongsberg Maritime for navigation (purchasing supply) and ship control systems (purchasing supply).

    The MGC R3 Gyro Compass integrates the Motion Reference Unit (MRU) platform with high-end gyrocompass that has been withdrawn from Kongsberg Maritime, and will provide a reliable and accurate solution for any navigation. It can be used as a gyrocompass or as a gyrocompass for a full inertial navigation system to provide heading, roll, pitch, heave and position data. This data will be sent over Ethernet and serial lines to ensure efficient distribution to multiple users on board.
