Informed sources disclosed to reporters yesterday that Jianghuai Auto (600418) plans to invest 660 million yuan to build a new 200,000 high-performance gasoline Engine project. The project is located in the Jianghuai Auto Parts Production Base in Hefei, Anhui Province, and is scheduled to be officially opened in the first half of 2011. It was completed and put into operation at the end of 2012.
For the specific opening date, the person said that the board of directors will formally start construction after deliberation. However, he declined to disclose other details of the project.
