A fire broke out in a 20x20 frame alley garage located on the 5800 block of S. New England Avenue on December 29th. The 16th Battalion responded with multiple companies, deploying two lines to control the fire and conducting extensive overhaul operations. Engine 32 was assigned to New England Avenue, while Engine 127 took the alley and exited through the gangway to a hydrant on Newcastle Avenue. The units involved included Engine 32, Engine 127, Tower 60, Truck 54, and Battalion 16.Drew Gresik

It's always impressive to see how quickly the Chicago Fire Department responds to these types of incidents. The coordination between Engine 32 and Engine 127 was spot-on, and it’s clear that their training and teamwork are top-notch. These photos give a great visual of the scene and the efforts being made by the crews on the ground.
