In April 2003, China Machinery Equipment (Group) Co., Ltd. organized industry experts to undertake the special fund project of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Suzhou Electric Machine Tool Research Institute and Suzhou Zhongte Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd.--"Six-axis CNC high-efficiency electric spark hole The processing technology and equipment and the "four-axis CNC high-efficiency arc forming processing technology and equipment" were identified.

The appraisal committee unanimously agreed that the project has reached the technical and economic indicators specified in the special projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the equipment developed has filled the domestic gap to the international advanced level. The project solves the technical problems of medium and deep hole machining in aviation, aerospace and military enterprises. At present, there are more than 50 such devices in operation.

The project has overcome a number of technical problems, enabling the arc to be rapidly formed into a machining surface into the practical application stage. The equipment has been delivered to GE in the United States. The appraisal committee unanimously believes that the project has been successfully applied to the efficient processing of special materials of GE Company in the United States. The practical application value is high, reaching the international advanced level, and the main processing technology indicators have reached the international leading level. Mainly used in aviation, aerospace and military manufacturing.
