Quanchai Power Co., Ltd. is targeting the development of high-efficiency and low-emission 4D22E Euro III series diesel engines for mass production in recent days, adding a green “heart†to China’s motor vehicles. Since 2008, Quanchai has cooperated with German ELS-BETT Company, BOSCH Company and Shanghai Internal Combustion Engine Research Institute to adopt the domestic leading technologies such as electronic control, high pressure common rail, and booster intercooling, and successfully developed 4D22E series diesel engines for vehicles. Through the engine emissions test, high temperature, alpine and plateau tests, durability testing and vehicle calibration.
In the research and development process, nine utility model patents were formed and applied for. The technical standards for the Q/QC103-2008 and 4D22E diesel engines have been formulated, and a supporting agreement has been reached with more than 20 vehicle manufacturers.
4D22E Euro III series diesel engines have completely independent intellectual property rights, which fills the domestic gap of the models. Its advent will greatly reduce the emission of motor vehicle pollutants, and to a large extent ease the pollution of the automobile to the atmosphere. It is reported that this engine will form an annual production capacity of 30,000 units in 2009, and an annual sales income of 600 million yuan will be added each year.
