Hunan Sino-American Engineering Technology Seminar

The 10th China-US Engineering Technology Symposium Hunan Advanced Equipment Manufacturing Technology Seminar will be held in Changsha from May 26th to 28th. 32 top Sino-U.S. experts will be on the same stage.

The China-U.S. Engineering Technology Symposium was initiated by the State Bureau of Foreign Experts and the American Chinese Experts Association, the Chinese Academy of Engineers in America. It is held once every two years in China and has now held nine sessions. After the active efforts of the provincial foreign experts, the State Foreign Experts Bureau agreed to host the seminar in Changsha. In December 2010, the construction machinery industry in Changsha has stepped up the scale of one hundred billion industrial clusters, becoming the first one hundred billion industrial cluster in Changsha, and it has taken the lead in domestic cities to break through the 100 billion yuan mark. From January to March this year, Changsha Construction Machinery completed a large-scale industrial output value of 39.455 billion yuan, an increase of 6.8%.

The seminar was jointly organized by the State Bureau of Foreign Experts, the Provincial People's Government, the American Institute of Engineers in America, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The seminar will focus on the theme of "advanced equipment manufacturing technology." Wang Guixi, deputy director of the Provincial People's Association and director of the Provincial Special Administrative Bureau, said that through such a high-level forum, Changsha's construction machinery industry will continue to promote continuous improvement in terms of independent innovation, intellectual property protection and key accessories.
