Since both the intake and exhaust valves are closed, the mixture entering the cylinder is compressed, and the temperature and pressure rise until the piston is compressed to the top dead center. 3. When the piston movement is close to the top dead center of the compression stroke, the spark plug ignites the mixture in the cylinder. 4. Exhaust stroke At the end of the power stroke, the gas in the cylinder pushes the piston to the bottom dead center, and the mixture in the cylinder also becomes exhaust gas due to combustion. At this time, the exhaust valve is opened, the intake valve is still closed, and the piston moves from the bottom dead center to the upper dead center under the driving of the crankshaft.
