House fire in Lincolnwood 8-10-12

    This is from Steve Redick:

Today's 6600 Bl of Monticello...it looked like a few good rooms on the second floor, but I arrived way past the main action. Still, it seemed like a well-organized operation overall. I saw a member being moved into the Skokie ambulance—didn't look too serious, but I'm not sure if they were actually transported or just taken for evaluation. I finally got some photos of the new Evanston truck and the Skokie tower post rebuild. The Skokie truck was in a great position at the mouth of the alley, and the rig was set up perfectly for ladder and equipment access.

It’s always interesting to see how different crews handle similar incidents. The Evanston truck looked sharp, and the Skokie team had a solid setup. I’m glad I could get some shots before things quieted down. It’s one of those days where you’re just trying to capture what you can while staying safe and keeping an eye on the situation. Definitely worth the drive out there.
