Goldwind will develop the largest wind turbine with the largest single capacity in China

Goldwind will develop the largest wind turbine with the largest single capacity in China

It was learnt from Xinjiang Goldwind Science and Technology Co., Ltd. that Goldwind will develop a domestic 6.0MW wind turbine unit with the largest capacity in the domestic unit. In 2011, the overall design of the unit and the detailed design of components will be completed. The first prototype installation will be completed before the end of June 2012.

According to reports, the permanent magnet direct drive technology adopted by the 6.0 MW unit is basically the same as the technical route of the 2.5 MW unit that Goldwind has conducted in the small batch production. This technology can effectively reduce the cabin weight and structure size. Compared with other products of the same level on the market, the single unit lifting weight is lighter. It has the advantages of large stand-alone capacity, low kilowatt supporting costs, high power generation efficiency, and strong market competitiveness. It is also a major trend of offshore wind power technology approved by many third parties.

With the further intensification of competition in the wind power market at home and abroad, offshore wind power has gradually become one of the key development priorities for wind power in the future. Due to complex environmental conditions and installation restrictions, the cost of power system transmission, foundation, and transportation and lifting of offshore wind farms is much higher than on land. Large-scale units must be used to reduce the cost of wind farm construction, installation, and operation and maintenance. Therefore, Goldwind has upgraded the capacity of the original planned 5.0MW unit development project to 6.0MW, and the project proposal has been passed at the recent meeting of the Goldwind Technology Shareholders.

In order to maintain its advantage in the future wind power market, Goldwind Technology's first phase project of offshore wind power industry base in Jiangsu Dafeng has been officially put into production in July this year. It can produce 300 MW class direct-drive permanent magnet wind turbines and the first base of the base. 2.5MW direct-drive permanent magnet wind turbines have gone offline. With the implementation of follow-up projects and the development of surrounding supporting industries and facilities, Goldwind will build Jiangsu Dafeng into an integrated research and development, manufacturing and export of wind power equipment, offshore wind power services, offshore wind power offshore engineering and offshore wind power personnel training. Large-scale integrated offshore wind power industry base.
