Effects of Light and Temperature on Seed Germination of Lithos
Rock Cabbage is Saxifracaceae. Cabbage is a perennial herb and is the main wild medicinal material for extracting bergenin. It has nourishing strength, hemostasis, and antitussive effects. The study of germination characteristics of seeds can provide the necessary theoretical basis for the domestication and cultivation of rock cabbage. This article mainly discusses the influence of temperature and illumination on the germination of Chinese cabbage seeds. We need to use the seed germination box to provide the environmental parameters needed for the experiment.
The effects of light on seed germination of Brassica campestris ssp. elegans: Different photoperiods have different effects on the germination power and germination rate of Brassica campestris seeds. The seeds germinate on the 3rd day under 24 h light conditions, and the germination potential reaches the highest on the 7th day. The germination rate is not higher afterwards. There are obvious changes. The experimental results show that: with the extension of the illumination time, the germination potential and the germination rate both have the tendency of increasing. The germination power and the germination rate of the Chinese cabbage seed cultured under the 24 h light condition are the highest, respectively. 67% and 93.0%, and there were significant differences between the 5% and 1% levels and other treatments. However, the germination potential was zero at 7 days without light, and the germination rate was 30% at 14 days. Different illuminances are provided by the precision seed germination box. This shows that the seed of the Chinese cabbage is a clear-looking seed, and its germination rate can be changed by controlling the light. The effect of temperature on the germination of Brassica campestris seeds: different temperatures have different effects on the germination power and germination rate of Brassica campestris seeds. When the temperature is between 5°C and 25°C, with the increase of temperature, the germination power and the germination rate both have a tendency to increase. The temperature is between 25°C and 30°C. With the increase of temperature, the germination energy and The germination rate actually dropped. Therefore, 25 °C is the optimum temperature for the germination of Chinese cabbage seeds.
