In May 2012, the value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 9.6% year-on-year (the growth rate of the following added value is the real growth rate after deducting price factors), which is 0.3% faster than that in April. From January to May, the industrial added value above designated size increased by 10.7% year-on-year.
In terms of economic types, in May, the value-added of state-owned and state-controlled enterprises increased by 6.6% year-on-year, that of collective enterprises increased by 6.4%, that of joint-stock companies increased by 11.0%, and that of foreign-invested companies and Hong Kong, Malay, and Taiwanese companies increased by 6.7%.
In terms of light and heavy industries, in May, the value added of heavy industry increased by 9.8% year-on-year, and light industry increased by 9.1%.
In terms of sub-sectors, in May, 40 industries in 41 major industries maintained a year-on-year increase in value added. Among them, the textile industry increased by 11.9%, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing increased by 10.2%, the non-metal mineral products industry increased by 9.6%, the ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 8.5%, the general equipment manufacturing industry increased by 7.8%, the automobile manufacturing industry. Growth of 16.4%, railway, marine, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing grew by 4.8%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing increased by 9.7%, computer, communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing increased by 13.3%, production and supply of electricity and heat The industry grew by 4.5%.
From a regional point of view, in May, the value-added of the eastern region increased by 8.3% year-on-year, that of the central region by 11.2%, and that of the western region by 12.6%.
From a product perspective, in May, 321 products out of 471 products increased year-on-year. Among them, the power generation amounted to 399.8 billion kwh, an increase of 2.7%; steel 81.67 million tons, an increase of 6.3%; cement 20.511 million tons, an increase of 4.3%; crude oil processing volume 38.33 million tons, a decrease of 0.7%; ten kinds of non-ferrous metals 3.04 million tons , an increase of 6.6%; ethylene 1.27 million tons, down 7.1%; 1.175 million vehicles, an increase of 18.5%; sedan cars 927,000, an increase of 22.6%.
In May, the sales rate of industrial enterprises was 97.9%, which was a decrease of 0.4 percentage points from the same month of last year. Industrial enterprises achieved an export delivery value of 896.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%.
