On the morning of March 7, 2014, the China-Europe Electric Vehicle and Power Battery Safety Evaluation Seminar was held in Beijing. The conference was co-sponsored by the Equipment Industry Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the EU 2020 Strategy and Sustainable Development Division of the European Union Enterprise and Industry Directorate, and the China Automotive Technology Research Center and the China-EU World Trade Project (Phase II). More than 40 representatives from government departments, relevant research institutions, industry associations and business circles from China and Europe attended the meeting.
In 2013, China and the EU conducted a comparison and evaluation study on safety standards for electric vehicles and power batteries under the framework of dialogue and cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and the European Union's Enterprise and Industry Directorate. At this meeting, the two sides invited experts to report the basic situation of the previous research, including the domestic and international standards for electric vehicles, power batteries (including monomers, modules and systems), and the comparative research results of the standards and regulations of China and the EU. At the vehicle level, China and the EU mainly studied and analyzed the comparison between the revised GB/T 18384 series standard and the second edition of ECE R100. At the power battery level, both sides have the domestic power battery unit/module/system standard and The revised draft is compared with the battery standard regulations of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the European Economic Commission (ECE), and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). The lecture experts and the participants conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on issues related to electric vehicle waterproofing and low temperature start-up.
