Caterpillar receives a series of propulsion unit orders from Sanmar Shipyard for the next three years

A few days ago, Caterpillar's Turkish distributor Borusan signed a letter of intent with the Turkish Sanmar shipyard, which will provide a series of propulsion devices in the next three years.
It is reported that the letter of intent involves the provision of Caterpillar propulsion engines and generator sets for the Sanmar shipyard's shipbuilding program over the next three years. Caterpillar is expected to provide at least 84 propulsion engines and 86 generator sets by 2018. These propulsion units include 26 Cat C32 propulsion engines, 22 Cat 3512C propulsion engines, 36 Cat 3516C propulsion engines and 86 Cat C4.4 generator sets.

These engines will primarily power tugboats with a bollard pull of 60 to 85 tons.
