The fire occurred at Auto-Masters, located at 724 Cottage Street in Shorewood, Illinois. The structure was a one-story auto body shop measuring 25 by 40 feet, with a two-story house attached to the rear. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy fire and smoke and deployed three 2.5-inch lines and one 1.75-inch line. The Troy Fire Department quickly brought the fire under control, demonstrating their swift response and efficiency.
