This is from Eric Haak:
At just after 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 23rd, Engine 101 responded to a fire at a one-story trucking company with a truss roof located at 74th and Bell Avenue. The building measured 65 by 100 feet and was fully engulfed in flames. Battalion 20 arrived on scene within a minute and quickly escalated the incident to a 2-11 alarm. Unfortunately, the structure was a total loss.
A significant number of units were dispatched to the scene, including Engines 101, 15, 123, and 54, all of which were actively pumping water. Tower Ladders 39 and 54, along with Squad 5’s Snorkel, were also deployed to assist with the large-scale fire. The fire burned intensely through the roof, creating a dramatic and dangerous situation for firefighters on the ground.
Eric Haak captured several powerful images of the event, showing the intensity of the blaze and the heroic efforts of the Chicago Fire Department. The photos include shots of Tower Ladder 39, Engine 101, and other responding units working through the night to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further.
