Centrifugal pump operating point, is the intersection of pump characteristic curve and pipeline characteristic curve. Artificial changes to the pump operating conditions point method, called the pump regulation. There are only two ways to change the working point of the centrifugal pump: one is to change the pump characteristic curve and the other is to change the pipeline characteristic curve.
(1) change the pump characteristic curve to adjust:
â‘ change speed control pump performance;
â‘¡ turning impeller diameter, expanding the scope of use;
â‘¢ remove the impeller series, multi-stage pump impeller can be removed by the series, to adjust the purpose of head.
(2) to change the pipeline characteristic curve to adjust:
â‘ outlet valve closure regulation;
â‘¡ by-pass valve to adjust.
