MarineServiceNoord receives orders for the design and installation of LNG fuel systems for 2 new ferries

Recently, Marine Service Noord of the Netherlands announced that it has received an order to design and install LNG fuel system for two new ferries of Dutch ferry operator Rederij Doeksen.

The shipowner Rederij Doeksen placed the two ships on the order of Strategic Marine, a subsidiary of Singapore's Triyards, in April this year, with a construction contract value of approximately $50.1 million.

It is reported that the new ferry will be 70 meters long and 17 meters wide. Each ferry can transport 600 passengers and 64 cars, and will only use LNG fuel as power.

Marine Service Noord will design the LNG fuel tank system, from fuel tank to engine installation. Two new ferries are expected to be delivered in March 2018.
