    The low carbon steel has a carbon content of 7. The surface hardness after quenching can reach HRC65, and the hardness gradient is stable, the price is low, no quenching and tempering is required, and the deformation is small. Compared with carburizing, the energy is saved by 50 or more. A factory uses 60DTi instead of the original 42CrMo. Quenched and tempered steel or 20CrMnMo carburized steel, gear with modulus 712, achieved satisfactory results and achieved significant economic benefits. However, its hardenability is often difficult to control, and the range of chemical composition fluctuations is wide, which cannot guarantee the quality stability in mass production.
