The output and profits of the industry have increased to a certain extent, but most companies have not increased their output, and their profits have fallen sharply. This makes the industry's future development problems can not be underestimated.
Cai Weimin stated that the company’s innovative ability is weak, investment in technology R&D costs is insufficient, product homogeneity is serious, the added value is low, and the structural overcapacity of products is serious. This is the reason for the above phenomenon.
Green tires become fashionable
In recent years, the domestic tire industry has adjusted the structure of its products, and various companies have been targeting green tires that are energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly, and safe when formulating their development strategies. Cai Weimin said that in 2013, the tire industry in China had successively carried radial tires produced by a number of companies, including Fengshen, Double Money, China Strategic, and Triangle, which were successively recognized as green tires by the US Environmental Protection Agency.
At the same time, representatives from the people's congresses in the industry actively called for companies to strive for national policy support, and Eucommia rubber resources development and application projects were supported. The company itself has also begun to strengthen its construction. While adjusting its product structure, it has gone abroad to invest in and build factories.
Limited growth in 2014
Cai Weimin expressed optimism about the arrival of 2014. He believes that the state will increase its economic development efforts in the central and western regions and make appropriate policy adjustments. This will make the tire industry usher in favorable conditions. The fundamentals of the industry's rigid demand are good, and the total volume will still maintain a certain degree of growth.
However, Cai Weimin also pointed out that due to the conspicuous factors in the industry, at the same time structural overcapacity and product homogeneity problems, rising costs, and the constraints of foreign factors, 2014 industry growth will be very limited.
