Difficult to treat gold ore preoxidation principle

    Arsenic pyrite, pyrite and other sulfide inclusion particles of gold cyanide leaching effect is poor, the main reason for the low gold recovery. Some inorganic autotrophic microorganisms can grow with CO 2 as the main carbon source and sulfide as the main energy source in the leaching solution. Sulfides in the rich gold area are always etched preferentially due to imperfect lattice arrangement (such as displacement and impurities). As the physiological activity of the bacteria progresses, most of the vulcanized layer eventually cannot completely coat the gold. The gold ore pretreated by bacterial oxidation is leached by a conventional method, and the gold leaching rate can be greatly improved.

    Bacterial oxidized minerals are currently considered to have both direct and indirect effects. For example, if the bacteria oxidize pyrite, the bacteria adsorb to the mineral surface to oxidize when directly acting; in indirect action, the bacteria oxidize Fe 2 + to Fe 3 + , and then Fe 3 + reoxidizes the pyrite. Direct and indirect processes often exist simultaneously throughout the oxidation process.

    There are also some opinions that there is no direct mechanism of action. The reason is that the corresponding enzyme system has not been found yet. Therefore, a more accurate mechanism of action should be the contact mechanism and the non-contact mechanism, that is, the role of microorganisms is only to regenerate direct leaching factors. Studies abroad have shown that heterotrophic bacteria also have a good pre-oxidation effect, and some of the erosion ability is derived from its metabolites, such as nucleic acids, amino acids and other biological substances.
